MILSET President Joins Celebration of 40 Years of Les Petits Débrouillards

40 Years of Les Petits Débrouillards – Signes, September 2026

The 40th anniversary of Les Petits Débrouillards, celebrated in Signes in the Var region of France, marked a milestone in the history of popular education and scientific culture. The gathering brought together key figures who have shaped the movement in France and internationally, including Ghislaine Hierso, Antonio Nunez‑Valderrama, Driss Louaradi, Stéphane Colsenet, François Deroo, Fatima Zhora Aouriagal, Mustapha Wafra, and Bruno Rousseau.

The presence of Dr Driss Louaradi, President of MILSET, underscored the strong ties between MILSET and Les Petits Débrouillards, organisations that share a long history of collaboration in promoting science education and youth engagement.

Beyond celebrating four decades of commitment to making science accessible to all, the event opened new horizons. Discussions pointed towards promising international cooperation between the International Federation of Les Petits Débrouillards (FIPD) and MILSET, with the potential to strengthen exchanges and foster joint initiatives serving young people, science education, and active citizenship worldwide.
