North America (NORAM) is the regional branch of the International Movement for Leisure Activities in Science and Technology (MILSET) responsible for coordinating and strengthening youth science, technology and innovation initiatives across Canada, the Caribbean and the United States of America. This region brings together a diverse network of national and local organisations, science clubs, educational programmes and youth initiatives that work to promote scientific culture, creativity and international cooperation among young people. The MILSET NORAM regional office was officially established in 2006 during the Expo-Sciences International AMLAT (ESI-AMLAT), marking an important step in consolidating MILSET’s presence and activities in North America and the Caribbean. Since its creation, MILSET NORAM has served as a key platform for collaboration between member and partner organisations in the region, facilitating exchanges, joint projects and participation in MILSET’s international events and programmes.MILSET North America plays an active role in supporting the organisation and coordination of regional activities, science fairs, innovation programmes and training opportunities for youth, educators and organisers. Through its work, the region contributes to strengthening local capacities, promoting best practices in science education and non-formal learning, and ensuring the active participation of its territories in MILSET’s global initiatives, including international expos, assemblies, forums and collaborative projects.
