About
MILSET AMLAT was first established in Puebla, Mexico, during the 7th MILSET International Expo-Sciences (ESI 1999), marking a foundational milestone in the regional structuring of MILSET’s global network. Following its creation, the Latin America office (often referred to as MILSET AMLAT) became responsible for promoting scientific culture, youth engagement, and international cooperation throughout the region. Since 2002, MILSET AMLAT has organized the MILSET Latinamerican Expo-Sciences (ESI AMLAT) on a biennial basis, bringing together young scientists, educators, and STEAM enthusiasts from across Latin America.MILSET itself is a non-governmental, non-profit, politically independent youth organization founded in 1987 during the first International Science Fair (ESI 87) in Quebec, Canada, with the mission of fostering scientific and technological culture among young people through high-quality activities such as science fairs, scientific camps, congresses, and other STEAM-oriented programs.
