Argentina Welcomes the 17th Science, Technology and Culture Forum
From 8 to 11 September 2026, Cerrito, Entre Ríos, Argentina, hosted the 17th Science, Technology and Culture Forum, organised by Asociación Vida y Ciencias.
This edition was especially significant as it formed part of the Association’s 25th anniversary, celebrating more than two decades of work promoting science, technology, research and culture among new generations.
Over four days, students from primary, secondary and higher education presented projects in Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering and Technology, sharing their research, ideas and experiences with other young participants and educators.
The Forum had a strong international dimension, welcoming delegations from Paraguay, Brazil and Mexico, together with participants from several Argentine provinces, including Salta, La Pampa, Buenos Aires, Catamarca and Entre Ríos.
This diversity created an important space for scientific and cultural exchange, strengthening connections between young people, teachers and educational institutions from different regions and countries.
As an international event connected with MILSET AMLAT, the Forum also contributed to MILSET’s mission of encouraging scientific culture, international cooperation and the participation of young people in science.
Alongside the student project exhibition, the Teachers and Researchers Forum offered conferences, talks and spaces for discussion focused on science education, research and the exchange of teaching experiences.
The programme also included activities at the Montecito de Lovera Educational Nature Reserve, where participants explored the natural heritage of the region and learned more about the characteristic flora and fauna of the Espinal ecosystem.
The 17th edition also provided an opportunity to recognise 25 years of Asociación Vida y Ciencias, as well as the work of the people who have supported the organisation throughout its history.
Special thanks go to the volunteers of Asociación Vida y Ciencias, whose dedication and commitment made this edition possible, and to the teachers who have supported this initiative over the years, encouraging generations of young people to engage with science and research.

The Forum once again brought together young people, educators and institutions from Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil and Mexico, strengthening scientific exchange and creating new opportunities for collaboration through science.
