From 8 to 11 September 2026, the National Technical College and Vocational Training Centre of Encarnación “Architect Raúl María Benítez Perdomo” (Colegio Técnico Nacional y Centro de Entrenamiento Vocacional de Encarnación “Arquitecto Raúl María Benítez Perdomo”), Paraguay, hosted Expo‑Science and Technology 2026 (EXPOCIENTEC 2026), bringing together young people, educators and the wider community for four days dedicated to science, research, creativity and innovation.

This year’s edition featured more than 180 research projects, developed by students following months of dedicated work, exploration and learning. Throughout the exhibition, young researchers had the opportunity to present their projects to visitors, share their findings and demonstrate how curiosity and scientific thinking can be transformed into meaningful ideas and solutions.

Beyond the project exhibition, EXPOCIENTEC 2026 offered a diverse programme designed to encourage learning and the development of new skills. Activities included Amigos de la Ciencia, Café Literario, the Chess Club and the Robotics Club, creating an engaging environment in which science, technology, culture and creativity could come together.

By opening its doors to the community, the event also provided an important platform for students to strengthen their communication skills, exchange experiences and inspire others through their enthusiasm for knowledge and discovery.

Initiatives such as EXPOCIENTEC reflect the importance of creating opportunities for young people to engage actively with science and technology. They contribute to strengthening scientific culture, encouraging collaboration and fostering the next generation of researchers, innovators and problem-solvers.

MILSET extends its sincere appreciation to Marlene Candia Sosa, EXPOCIENTEC Coordinator, and Mag. Adriana Villalba, General Director, for their leadership and commitment to making this edition possible. Our recognition also goes to the entire organising team, teachers, volunteers, participating students and all those who contributed to the success of the event.

Congratulations to the entire EXPOCIENTEC 2026 community for continuing to create spaces where young people can explore, question, create and share their ideas with the world.
