The 16th International Research School (IRSchool 2026), organised by MILSET Vostok, is now officially underway in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Russia. The programme welcomes young researchers and tutors from across countries and regions to take part in an intensive international scientific experience.

Since the official opening on 1 July, participants have been grouped into multidisciplinary research teams, each guided by young scientists acting as tutors throughout the programme. Over the coming days, students will carry out complete express research projects — from defining research questions and collecting field data to analysing results and presenting their conclusions.

Hosted at the Sakha Junior Science Academy, IRSchool provides a unique learning environment where science, culture, teamwork, and international friendship converge. Participants collaborate across languages and cultures while tackling real scientific challenges in one of the world’s most remarkable natural settings.

Alongside their research, students will engage in workshops, cultural activities, networking sessions, and collaborative learning experiences designed to strengthen both their scientific expertise and intercultural skills.

The event will culminate with each team presenting its research project before a committee of experts and fellow participants, showcasing the knowledge and discoveries achieved during this intensive programme.
