Science in Action: Field Research at IRSchool 2026

MILSET Vostok continues to foster scientific excellence through the 16th International Research School (IRSchool 2026), where research activities are now in full swing as international teams of students carry out scientific investigations across a wide range of disciplines under the guidance of young researchers.

This year's edition features ten highly diverse express projects that connect participants with real-world scientific challenges. Research teams are studying the fauna of local lakes, investigating soils and native vegetation, exploring the extinct fauna of Yakutia, working on satellite antenna development, and conducting anthropological research in collaboration with local communities.

The combination of laboratory work, field expeditions, and collaborative problem-solving allows participants to experience the complete scientific process in just a few days. Every project encourages critical thinking, innovation, teamwork, and international cooperation.

The intensive research phase will culminate on July 8, when every team presents its findings before invited experts and fellow participants, celebrating both scientific achievement and global collaboration.

IRSchool continues to demonstrate how science can connect young people from different cultures while inspiring the next generation of researchers and innovators through hands-on discovery and shared learning experiences.
